Check out Green Team member Enxhi!

Enxhi is a senior at Somerville High School in Somerville, MA. She grew up in Albania and moved to the U.S. with her family three years ago. Enxhi started working on climate change two summers ago when she was hired in a green jobs program at Groundwork Somerville, a local non-profit organization. There she learned how the climate is changing and became passionate about finding solutions. Her first step – to start a Green Team at her high school! The club started the school’s recycling program, which they will be expanding this year. This past summer, Enxhi continued to work with Groundwork Somerville on urban agriculture project where she built on her experience in urban food systems, landscaping, and community outreach projects to start a school garden with a friend. Greening the world and dancing her are two biggest passions. Enxhi will be blogging from Boston and speaking at local events this year.
