Community meeting at the Mystic Activity Center

More than 100 people showed up to 530 Mystic Ave. last night to help create a message about how important it is to prevent the MBTA’s proposed fare increases and service cuts.  We had an evening of great energy from community members, residents, and T riders who decided that we need to attend the public meeting that the MBTA will host in Somerville on 2/28/12 at the High School( 81 Highland Avenue, Somerville MA 02143) at 5:30pm.  We decided to attend and tell them that the proposed fare hikes and service cuts are not acceptable and will have a devastating effect on the people who rely on the T to get to work, school, can’t afford other means, and to reduce the pollutants cause by vehicles.  We will be there to deliver this message but they need to hear from everybody in Somerville who feels the same.  If this will effect you or anyone you know, please join us on the 28th.  We will be right outside the front of the school at 5:30.
