Home Energy Workshop

September 12, 2012 @ 7:00 pm

Home Energy Workshop with Somerville Climate Action and Next Step Living
Wednesday, September 12, 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm
Somerville Public Library (Main Branch), 79 Highland Avenue
***Refreshments will be served!***
Somerville Climate Action, along with our partner Next Step Living, is hosting a residential energy efficiency workshop to help Somerville residents, landlords, and homeowners lower their utility bills and environmental impact. Not many people realize that through existing State and City programs, Somerville residents living in a 1-4 unit building can receive a free home energy assessment, free CFL lightbulbs, free targeted air sealing, and up to $3500 in discounts for home energy efficiency improvements. At this workshop, home efficiency experts will give a presentation about these programs and answer any and all questions you might have about ways to save money and lower your energy use. We’ll also hear from Russell Koty, the City of Somerville’s Energy Advocate, about Somerville’s Residential Energy Efficiency Program (REEP). RSVP encouraged but not required – please contact John Massie at 617-513-1220 or john.massie@nextsteplivinginc.com to RSVP or for more information. We hope to see you there!
