Maple Syrup in the Library Series: East Branch 2/21

Join us at the East Branch library on Thursday, Feb. 21st at 3:30 pm for the second of 3 “Maple Syrup in the Library” workshops! As part of the Somerville Maple Syrup Project, Groundwork Somerville will be offering educational, hands-on learning activities, book reading, and games in the libraries, geared towards kids ages 5-9. Each workshop is FREE and runs about an hour long; no need to RSVP.
The second workshop, at the East Branch on Broadway, will explore the changing seasons, how sap flows, and how trees help us. We’ll read The Giving Tree, learn how humans and trees can work together, and play the ever-popular game “Sappy Sappy”. It’ll be a fun educational event during February vacation!
