Join GWS Garden’s Coordinator for this exciting “Skill Share,” part of the Growing Center’s Urban Agriculture series.
Why raise worms? These little powerhouse composters churn out beneficial soil amendments with little work, eating up food waste. As part of our urban agriculture series, join an informal discussion and skill-share about the benefits and challenges of vermicomposting in the city. We are grateful to the participating worm-lovers for sharing their experience and wisdom!
Groundwork Somerville “Worm Bin Starter Kits” will be on sale! The guide, which explains how to create a bin out of a Storage Container, costs $10 Each container of worms costs $20. Together, they are available for $25.
Tai is looking for folks to attend the Urban Worms event as “Skill Sharers,” please contact her if you love worms and have models or stories to share with other enthusiasts (email@example.com)! Attendees are also welcome to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy at the Growing Center space between the composting and worms events (or you can visit the last hour of the Union Sq. Farmer’s Market!).
