Groundwork Somerville offers after school Garden Clubs in 8 public schools across the city of Somerville throughout the school year. The success of these clubs depends on the collaboration between the lead Garden Educator and the Volunteer Gardens Assistants as they help open the eyes of elementary students to the natural world right outside their schools.
Are you interested in elementary, hands-on, environmental education? Hands-on learning? Urban agriculture? You should get involved at Groundwork Somerville!
VOLUNTEER: After school Garden Clubs’ winter session runs from Jan. 3 – March 25th.* Groundwork Somerville seeks volunteers willing to make a weekly commitment for this 10 week period to assist the lead Garden Educator as they engage elementary students after school in their garden!
