Sign up for our mailing list below for more opportunities, or simply show up on these days to 138 South St. Somerville to help plant, harvest, learn to grow your own food, and take some produce home. We hope to see you there!

Harvest Festival Volunteers

We are looking for volunteers to help at our Harvest Festival on August 27! We can use help with running stations (activities of popcorn making and salsa making) as well as setup and cleanup. All volunteers who run a station for 2 hours will receive free drinks from Portico Brewery. Sign up with this form.

School Garden Maintenance

We are excited to start planting in Healey's new garden space and continue to tend the 7 other school gardens! We need your help to water, weed, and tend these garden spaces starting in April.  If you're interested, please fill out the interest form here.

South St. Farm & Produce Delivery

We are excited for the 2023 season at Somerville's only urban farm! Join us in growing food, engaging youth at the farm, cultivating our pollinator garden, and delivering produce to our food access partners.

Sign up here for farm-based volunteer opportunities.

Sign up here if you have a car and can deliver produce this season.

Facilitate a Community Workshop

This year, we plan to host a handful of community-wide workshops focused on the themes of food & farming, environment, and climate, and sustainability. We are looking for guest-presenters interested in facilitating a 30min-1hr workshop in an area of your expertise! This could involve a pickling demonstration, lecture on red lining & climate change, medicinal herbs, mushroom farming, etc. These workshops will be sliding-scale with a small stipend for guest presenters. If you are interested and have knowledge and skills to share, please fill out this form!
