Volunteer opportunities throughout the year

South St. Farm

Each growing season (May-October) is a joy at Somerville's only urban farm! Join us in growing food, engaging youth at the farm, cultivating our pollinator garden, and delivering produce to our food justice access partners.

During the summer and fall we typically have open volunteer hours on the farm one evening per week, and some organizations or companies can bring a whole group for a group experience.

Community Engagement, Climate Justice, and more!

With climate change, gentrification, and other challenges impacting our community, it will take all hands on deck to build collective power in our neighborhoods. As we build the Climate Safe Neighborhoods program, we will need to engage widely and deeply in our communities. Some of this work will require boots on the ground efforts to reach those who have been systemically excluded from decision-making and power. These efforts may include: neighborhood canvassing, surveys, focus groups, listening sessions, attending community meetings and events, and tabling at events, flyering neighborhoods, and more.
