Maple Syrup Boil Down

We are excited to announce the Maple Syrup Boil Down is coming back in full swing for 2023! This wonderful community tradition, now in its 24th year, began in 2000 at the Somerville Community Growing Center, with Groundwork Somerville taking over about a decade later. The two organizations have joined forces to collaborate on this community project in more recent years. Through tapping local maple trees on the Tufts campus, we are able to spend time outdoors in winter, enjoy experiential learning, and connect with seasonal cycles and one of nature’s most beautiful systems!
